French President Emmanuel Macron thanked Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for hosting the summit during the plenary session of the European Political Community and noted:
“Eight years ago, no one would have come to Armenia, and the fact that we have so many first visits to your country is a really good indicator, because eight years ago, this country was considered a de facto satellite of Russia at the table,” Emmanuel Macron emphasized.
He emphasized that the Armenian Prime Minister organized the Velvet Revolution and de-risked the country. “It decided that peace and Europe are the primary aspirations,” the French President emphasized.
