President of Azerbaijan Aliyev received the Secretary General of the Zayed Prize for Human Fraternity, Mohamed Abdelsalam, a member of the Prize Committee, former President of the European Council Charles Michel, and former Chairperson of the African Union Commission Moussa Faki Mahamat.
“The peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which is being implemented jointly by the two countries, sends a potent signal to the world,” said Charles Michel.
He highly appreciated the mutual commitment to look to the future with optimism despite the difficulties of the past.
“We are learning to live in peace. Believe me, it is a pleasant feeling. You feel that there is no more war, no more additional losses, and no more bloodshed. You can do much more work for the people, the country, for development, prosperity, and stability,” Aliyev said.
