Referring to military sources, the newspaper Times of India reports that the first batch of uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs), mobile detection and neutralization systems using radio interference and lasers, has entered the arsenal of the Indian Army’s ground forces.
The systems named IDD&IS will be deployed on India’s border with China. They are capable of detecting undetectable UAVs at a distance of 5-8 km. The radius of radio-electronic interference hitting reaches 2-5 km, and destruction by high-energy laser is 800 m.
