On October 23, RA NA Speaker Alen Simonyan received the delegation led by the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the GDR Bundestag, Michael Roth.
The partners emphasized the stable development of bilateral friendly relations and deepening inter-parliamentary cooperation.
At the meeting, reference was made to the depopulation of Nagorno Karabakh and the problems caused by Baku’s ethnic cleansing policy. The German parliamentarians noticed that they did not take sufficient steps to prevent Azerbaijani aggression against the population of Nagorno-Karabakh.
The parties discussed the need to apply possible sanctions against Azerbaijan. The Speaker of the RA National Assembly reaffirmed that Armenia has adopted a peace agenda and offers a road map for regional peace.
