The President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachaturyan, sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, on the occasion of the German national holiday, Unity Day.
The message says:
“In the history of world politics and international relations, this day became a breakthrough beginning not only for Germany but also for the whole world, symbolizing the end of the Cold War.
With satisfaction, we established practical cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Germany’s support and efforts aimed at democratic and economic reforms in our country and establishing peace and stability in our region, especially in this period full of challenges for Armenia, are highly appreciated.
I fondly remember our meeting in Berlin, direct contact, and meaningful private conversation.
With joint efforts, we will contribute to further developing Armenian-German relations and deepening the existing active dialogue for the benefit of our people.
I wish you good health, all the best, and peace and well-being to the friendly people of Germany.”
