The head of the greens of Armenia Hakob Sanasaryan told today that he is leaving the commission on Lake Sevan issues which is adjacent to the president.
According to the schedule which predetermines the lake should reach 1903.5m only in 2031 which means 20 cm per year however the schedule states the level will be raised only by 18 cm because previously the rise was fast.
As Sanasaryan states the government states it increases the level of the lake but the increase of the level is not suitable for the government. That is the reason there are constant flows of water off the lake without its necessity.
Sanasaryan concludes the level is deliberately kept low so that the shore resorts of the oligarchs did not suffer and unless the political attitude changes nothing will change.
