The editor in chief of “Zhamanak” Ara Gochunyan states there is a hope the presidential elections will be one step forward towards the democracy. He stated the most important election throughout the previous 20 years is this upcoming presidential one. He highlighted Armenia’s attempt to integrate into the EU.
Speaking about the electoral frauds, Gochunyan emphasized the importance of making the people’s voices heard the way they are. He believes the political struggle will provide a mutual respect of the opponents.
Gochunyan concluded they respect all the candidates. It is clear he states that when the incumbent president puts his candidacy for the second turn, he believes he has done a lot throughout the previous 5 years and has earned the people’s voice. Gochunyan states they want to have a competitive atmosphere.
