On November 29 in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Garegin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians received the delegation of the RF Federal Assembly Federal Council member, the RA national hero Nikolai Ryzhkov, accompanied by Vice President of the National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov.
Welcoming the delegation’s visit to the Holy See, His Holliness brought his blessings and good wishes to the participants. During the meeting, His Holiness said that relations between the two countries differ with warmth and spirit of brotherhood.
Catholicos of All Armenians expressed his joy for Nikolai Ryzhkov’s visit, emphasizing that the latter has not wasted his efforts to make age-old friendship and cooperation between the two peoples more effective. On this occasion, His Holiness expressed his and of our peoples’ appreciation and gratitude to Nikolai Ryzhkov.
Nikolai Ryzhkov, in his turn, stressed the importance of the visit to St. Echmiadzin and relations between peoples and churches of the two countries.
At the end of the meeting Catholicos of All Armenians wished that Heavenly blessing of the Lord to save and keep the two friendly nations.
