Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili offered Saakashvili “to leave Presidential Palace and go to work in the State Office Building.” According to him, “the contents of the Palace of the President and his administration, costs too much to the state budget.”
“Taking into account the current state of Georgia’s economy, it is impractical by the first person of the country to use such a luxurious palace, as the space, provided for him at the State Office Building, is quite sufficient for his work. And funds for the maintenance of the palace will be directed to the needs of refugees, citizens and the strategic development of Georgia “, – said the Prime Minister.
Ivanishvili also said that “he himself, as the head of the government, does not intend to use Presidential Palace in the future and will to continue to work in the State Office Building,” where he works now.
