During an interview with Azerbaijan’s APA news agency Russian political scientist, deputy director of the Institute of Political and Military Analysis Alexander Khramchikhin spoke about the Karabakh conflict resolution.
“Sooner or later it will not be possible to avoid a new war between Armenia and Azerbaijan, because the two parties have contradictory positions and that’s why I think that it is impossible to solve the Karabakh conflict peacefully.
If war breaks out between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Russia will act in the same manner as it did the first time. But there is also another thing: If Turkey supports Azerbaijan, Russia will support Armenia without a doubt. Otherwise, Russia will be able to maintain neutrality.
There is no hope that there will be a further progress. The only way for the settlement is the war, and sooner or later we will be witnesses of it. ”
