“According to the press media of Holly Ejmiadzin there is a lack of priests” writes “Joghovurd” and adds.
“According to National Statistical Service, there are 792,600 families in Armenia. If we take into account the fact one priest should serve one thousand families, then we must have about 7900 priests. Meanwhile, by official data there are not more than 2700 priests.”
Contrary to this information, “Joghovurd” got information from Ministry of Justice that in Armenia officially there are 47 religious organizations registered, another 14 will be re- registered as a result of legislative change.
