A political scientist Suren Surenyanc said in the interview with journalists that Safarov’s extradition is the most cynic deal of our times. “Ilham Aliyev tries to show heroism in front of his nation, but he provided the greatest lip service for Azerbaijani society, the results of which will be further revealed”. Surenyanc finds that Armenian diplomacy can use this to prove that Artsakh in no way can belong to Azerbaijan.
The expert thinks that we mustn’t get so much encouraged by international reactions as all of them track their profit. “The USA is concerned by Safarov’s affair for it can become a motive of war. He is also concerned in gaining back the trust among Armenians as the presidential elections are close in the US.”
The psychological aspect of the issue was analyzed by the psychologist, candidate of pedagogical science, Associate Professor Hakob Tadevosyan. “This crime is the result of Azerbaijani politics, which injects hatred in its society starting from schools. A defective generation is brought up, who glorifies those like Safarov for killing the officer of the enemy country.”
