To the question whether Safarov’s extradition and his making a hero doesn’t bring closer to the change of negotiation process and isn’t it the time for NKR to enter the negotiation process as a lawful party, the director of European team of International crisis group Sabina Freiser answered: I think that it is even confessed in Azerbaijan that if ever a document is signed about the main principles and if the parties enter a phase of technical negotiations to reach complete agreement, NKR will enter into the negotiation process. The question is how to reach this point. If OSCE Minsk Group doesn’t succeed, what will be the alternative conception?”
Sabina Freiser thinks that the possibility of war is rising and in order to bypass it Armenia and Azerbaijan must give priority to peaceful measures.
