In the conversation with “1in.am News and Analyses” the executive director of Syrian “Alkhabar” station, responsible for political news, Sargis Kasarjyan said that the threats and announcements of Syrian revolution Supreme Court against Armenians are not serious.
According to him, this statement should not be perceived as a reaction of clashes between the Syrian government and opposition forces of districts mostly inhabited with Armenians.
Sargis Kasarjyan also said that the announcement has not been spread much and there was not a great response from Armenian communities, because the internet connection has not been working there these days. “Alkhabar” also did not spread this statement because, according to it- this is a personal statement, some oppositionists won’t take it seriously.
The opposition left as a result of clashes and great losses in Armenian communities of Aleppo. However, even today, as says Sarkis Kasarjyan, clashes continue in some regions. Now, the fights take place in the south west of the Safe Aldali district.
One section of the road leading to the Airport of Aleppo, which is located in the city, is controlled by the rebels, and a long section outside of the city, is under the control of the Syrian army.
