The RA Investigative Committee has reported that the public criminal prosecution against the Armed Forces serviceman of Azerbaijan has been stopped.
As a result of numerous urgent evidentiary actions conducted in the primary department of investigation of crimes against the state, fundamentals of the constitutional order, and public security of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, factual data was obtained that Ruslan Eldanis-Oghlu Penakhov, a soldier of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan who crossed the state border of the Republic of Armenia on February 28, 2024, appeared near the positions of the RA Armed Forces after the incident between the service members in the Azerbaijani position, as a result of fleeing and getting lost.
Based on the above, a motion was submitted to the supervising prosecutor to stop the criminal prosecution against Ruslan Penakhov, which was granted.
