On December 20, in the National Assembly took place the solemn award ceremony for joint research works, organized by the OSCE Office in Yerevan and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. The competition organized in the framework of the capacity building assistance program of the National Assembly, was aimed to encourage and support the development of the NA research capacity, promote the level of knowledge and understanding of the settlement of various legal issues by modern international principles and models.
As noted the NA Chief of Staff Gurgen Dumanyan, this research competition is one of the best results of NA- OSCE Yerevan Office effective collaboration.
“The competition has given the NA employees the opportunity to develop their research skills, which can be effectively applied to practical work.” he said.
Congratulating the participants, the Head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan Andrei Sorokin expressed satisfaction that this traditional competition helps to encourage and develop intellectual work and creative approach. According to him, this is the resource, in which Armenia is particularly rich. Mr. Sorokin appreciated all the works, noting that they are caught in the eye for their analytical component, rich and useful information. The authors of the winning works were awarded with cash prizes and gifts.
