Today during the meeting with Foreign Ministers of Poland, Bulgaria and Sweden, RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, answering the question, how he will comment on the fact that after the meeting in Dublin the Azerbaijani side made statements, accusing Armenia in that the five-side statement was not adopted because of Armenia.
“I would suggest comparing the performances of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Dublin, and you’ll see that what the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia said was in line with the statement made by the Co-Chairs of the delegations.
And what is doing the minister of Azerbaijan? They say they listen. I recall that it is not the first time that the five-side statement was adopted, there were such cases. The trilateral statement was adopted, where co-chairs noted that all principles and provisions, which were proposed by the Co-Chairs, are whole and cannot be separated from each other and no principle or no provisions can prevail over the others.
This time, the Azerbaijanis, for some reason, did not want that three well-known principles were even mentioned. What did they receive? The tripartite statement was adopted instead of five-side announcement. I would say more, the statement made by the Co-Chairs in Dublin is welcomed by Armenia, and we can make the same announcement.”
