As was previously mentioned, Tsarukyan and his delegation will be leaving for Brussels and this information was officially stated today by the PAP press office. Nonetheless there is no concrete information who exactly Tsarukyan is going to meet in Brussels and what his departure’s mission is. As Armine Avetyan states in her analysis, Barosso’s Yerevan visit excludes the possibility for Tsarukyan to meet there again and it is obvious this visit is a bonus for the upcoming presidential elections.
As Avetyan states, the First Armenian News and Analyses mentioned that the Ambassador of the RA to EU Avet Adonts and the PAP member Vartan Oskanian had their great input in organizing this trip. Oskanian will most probably present the party as the one who is most capable of doing that. Other PAP members of the delegation include Naira Zohrabyan, Elina Vardanyan and Vahe Hovhannisyan.
Avetyan cites the report that Tsarukyan will give a dinner after the meeting in Brussels for the Armenian diaspora, and it turns out Tsarukyan must deliver a dinner not vice versa, which, according to the ethic norms, is usually the case.
Oskanian previously said that his relatives were “very wealthy” and have been goldsmiths by generation and now they live in Brussels and are engaged in diamond industry. Avetyan states most probably Oskanian’s relatives are the ones to be present at Tsarukyan’s dinner. ARF members are also active in Brussels but it is not clear whether they will be there or not.
Tsarukyan’s press secretary Iveta Tonoyan informed Tsarukyan will make an announcement when back from Brussels.
