Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili told reporters after a meeting of the Cabinet that the Georgian government has discussed budget priorities for 2013.
According to the official sources, the state budget for next year will be different from previous ones. Ivanishvili noted that the costs under some articles were reduced, funding for the social sector was increased, and 52 million lari was added for the Ministry of Defense through the reduction of other costs.
“There are different costs, which we are going to cut. For example, the cost of fuel in the state office, which previously accounted for 48 tons. Now they are seven times less. A palace for the prime minister, which the previous government was going to construct, will not be built,” Ivanishvili said.
