The PM of Armenia, Tigran Sarsgyan gave an interview to Interfax and referred to a number of issues including the Syrian crisis.
He mentioned two reasons why the Syrian crisis affects Armenia: firstly, Syria is in the immediate neighborhood of Armenia and secondly – the Armenian diaspora living in Syria. The PM mentioned the issue is of concern and they try to do their best to ease the burden on the Syrian-Armenian shoulders.
According to Tigran Sargsyan, 5-6000 Armenians were taken to Armenia most part of them being middle class people who have lost everything they used to possess back there in Syria. Sargsyan expressed their eagerness to support them.
