RP member Mkrtich Minasyan told today that the electoral order for the population and statehood of the RA is feasible. Speaking about the ANC initiative to pass an extraordinary session in the NA and the RP unconstitutional efforts to fail the session Minasyan stated it is every political power’s right to express its attitude towards any issue and the RP showed its view. Currently the electoral order in the country is effective, Minasyan added. When told the ARF would pass the issue of the RP failing the extraordinary session to the ethics commission to the NA, Minasyan stated that it is their right to complain and it is the right of the RP not to come to the session as a disapproval to the issue according to the NA code book.
Minasyan concluded he did not think the 100% proportionate electoral system will be the solution to a better democracy in the country since the countries all over the world state the opposite.
