Armen Aghayan, a political analyst, stated today in the meeting with the journalists that all the political party consultations that happen today in the country are not a campaign but a political “bazaar” and that the political life in Armenia interests the journalists more than the public. The main part of this trade negotiations is around the PAP, as Aghayan mentions. On the one hand the RP wants the PAP to support Sargsyan’s candidacy, on the other hand the ANC wants the PAP to back them in case it functions without Kocharyan’s directions.
Aghayan spoke about shifting the parliamentary electoral system into 100% proportionate and stated it will not cause major alterations in the political life. The political analyst concluded referring to the fact that the country will be polarized in case a 100% proportionate system wins through which in this case will reduce the PAP mandates. This phenomenon is keen to bring about a government change.
