“Aravot” reports the most important political developments that take place in the country are neither the presidential elections, nor the political consultations on shifting the parliamentary electoral system to the 100% proportionate one. The most important political developments are the ANC activist Sargis Arakelyan’s imprisonment and Vartan Oskanian’s accusation for writng a large number of money. “Aravot”mentions the unpoliticized civic society would know that the government’s incremental changes can have a positive outcome in case the latter solves these two issues objectively.
The paper clarifies the reason of no significant public achievements in the political life of the country by the fact that it does not have a power of mobilization. As an example, when Kocharyan closed down “A1+”, the public got out and stroke but the political powers that were out too were not speaking about that issue, but how to get rid of the regime and other similar things not achieving neither the small, nor the bid goals.
The paper concludes that in the current state of the political events if the incumbent president is a dictator, as a matter of fact the previous two have been no less of that.
