Yesterday in Talin, Aragatsotn region, the elections of Mayor and City Council took place. Out of 5230 voters, 3369 took part in the elections. The elections were carried out in 3 ballot stations.
According to the preliminary results, the candidate nominated by ARP, Sargis Aramyan, is elected as the Mayor of Talin.
We need to note that there were 5 candidates for the position of Mayor – Republican Sargis Aramyan, PAP member Vazgen Khachatryan (he is the second according to the results), Edward Grigoryan, Vorosh Khachatryan and Gagik Karapetyan, who 3 do not belong to any party.
The final results will be summed up and published by 2 pm, August 6.
We remind that the formerMayor of Talin, Republican Mnacakan Mnacakanyan, left his position as he was elected as MP by majoritarian electoral system on May 6.
