As “Armenpress” reports, Serzh Sargsyan told the Wall Street Journal that the resumption of military hostilities will harm Nagorna Karabakh, will harm Armenia but first and foremost they will harm Azerbaijan. It is better to reach resolution through negotiations.” Nagorno Karabakh people want to live their free and decided faith on their own”.
Sargsyan mentioned that the Armenian side is ready to make compromises and settle the issue as fast as possible and that the Armenian side calls on Azerbaijan to follow the suit. “That’s the most rational solution”, added the President.
“I am almost confident that Azerbaijan seeks to give a different turn to the developments that is to renew the military hostilities. They just expect an opportune moment for that”.
Sargsyan labeled the military actions’ initiation as “impermissible” because that will distort the Nagorno Karabakh and Armenian population but most of all the Azerbaijani side will suffer because the Armenian military will give an incommensurate blow. Sargsyan also mentioned the extremely concerning perspective of having a military attack on Iran, because the latter may foster other regional conflicts’ restart thus highly appreciating the international society’s engagement in the regional affairs.
In the end, the president mentioned the endeavors of eliminating the corruption in the country.
