After the parliamentary elections on May 6, Talin’s mayor‘s post remained vacant, as the 15th electoral district elected as a deputy Talin’s mayor Mnatsakan Mnatsakanyan.
Tomorrow in Talin, the city of the Aragatsotn region, community leader and council member special election will take place. 5candidates will fight for the post of the mayor: the Republican Aramyan Sarkis, PAP representative Vazgen Khachatryan, and neutral party members Edward Grigorian, Vorosh Khachatryan and Gagik Karapetyan.
However, in “pre-election Talin” the situation is tense, as the Republican party is divided. Because of many disagreements, on August 2, the head of the Organization of Aragatsotn Region Sarkis Sahakyan fired Mnatsakan Mnatsakanyan ‘s wife Tamara Gevorgyan, who was the head of the medical center.
In the interview with “1in.am News and Analyses” Sarkis Sahakyan, head of the territorial organization of Aragatsotn, denied circulating opinions, saying: “Dismissing from work has no political subtext. Tamara Gevorgyan was fired for poor performance and misapplication. ” Speaking of tomorrow’s elections, MP Mnatsakan Mnatsakanyan stressed once again that he does not support any candidate. He supports the one who will serve the public and who will be elected by people.
The regional governor of Aragatsotn Sarkis Sahakyan expressed his confidence about the Republican Sargis Aramyan’s victory.
