Trend informs that a course of basic training of mountain riflemen ended in Sachkhere military base (region of Imereti, West Georgia) on Saturday.
In the framework of NATO program “Partnership for Peace” American, Norwegian, Estonian, Latvian and Armenian troops underwent training in Georgia , during the ceremony the Minister of Defense Dmitri Shashkin awarded with diplomas and certificates to 16 servicemen from five NATO countries and 11 partner countries .

As stressed by the Georgian Defense Minister, the whole course is conducted by Georgian soldiers who were at one time educated in France. “This is a result of reforms in the defense sector, as our military has instructed and prepared military of NATO,” he said.
