Tiran Loqmagyozyan, Hrant Dink’s friend and ex-employee of “Agos” weekly newspaper stated that those to blame for Dink’s death were not found because of the not free court system in Turkey.
He stated that the murderer was given a milder verdict than the one who gave the weapon to the murderer. Loqmagyozyan informed he wrote an article after Dink’s death where he compared the two bright minds of Armenian origin living in Turkey: Grigor Zohrap and Hrant Dink. The main parallel between the two was that both were not afraid to speak out their mind on the political arenas and that both of them had the same destiny.
According to Loqmagyozyan arguments, Dink was not murdered because of being an Armenian nationalist since Turkey needs the latters as enemies. Hrant Dink was much more dangerous because he was not an Armenian nationalist, but an Armenian who was a Turkish citizen and spoke as a Turkish citizen. He was not sharing Armenian or Turkish perspectives he had his own third perspective. There were Turkish nationalists, ordinary citizens during Dink’s funeral and this shows Dink was not against the Turks in gnereal.
