Official sources report that on Tuesday Georgian Interior Minister Irakli Garibashvili presented his deputies at a special briefing.
Lasha Natsvlishvili was introduced as his first deputy.
“Natsvlishvili held various positions in the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia and worked in the Special State Protection Service. In 2001-2003 he served as Deputy Minister of Security. Lasha Natsvlishvili was a member of the Georgian Parliament of two convocations. I am sure his high professionalism will be very useful,” Irakli Garibashvili stated.
What concerns the other four deputy ministers, Levan Izoria (the head of Georgian Police Academy in 2004-2006), Gela Khvedelidze (worked in security agencies, Interior Ministry, penal execution system in 1993-2004, former member of Parliament), Aleko Tabatadze ( worked in Interior Ministry in 1991-2008) and Alexi Batiashvili (held various positions in the security agencies in 1995-2004, was the head of bureau of forensic services) were appointed to these positions.
The new head of patrol police will be represented tomorrow.
The parties discussed other issues of mutual interest.
