“Prime Time” newspaper has initiated the week (August 6-12) of commemoration of the victims of 2008 August war in Georgia” reports “Novosti Georgia”. According to the official data, Georgian side lost 413 people including 166 soldiers, 16 policemen and 220 ordinary citizens. Number of injured totaled to 2234 people.
Founder of the newspaper Tamar Phakadze noted this being the fourth year they organize the event. The event shall embrace an exhibition called “Georgia’s Stolen History”, and screening of the movie “Bombs of Slow Motion” based on Georgia’s MIA. (Ministry of Internal Affairs)
