In his interview with 168.am public figure, former member of “Karabakh” committee Ashot Manucharyan discussed the affair against the former FM of RA Vartan Oskanian. “Beyond all there is a human tragedy happening to a famous person in the realm of politics, but the system founded during years is a daily tragedy for hundreds of people,” noted Manucharyan
“This is real politics. What about the recent maneuvers, it must be said that unfortunately events are dictated not in Armenia. Armenia has nothing to do with it:, nobody must be embarrassed by Oskanian’s destiny having seen that of Mubarak. The latter was devotedly serving the system, but the moment came when a performance was needed in Egyptian stage and Mubarak came to be the victim. Now Armenia has taken up the role. What is going on? The ado between the two powers who are entrusted to rule our destinies. Nothing will change by either turn of Oskanian’s destiny because our system is conservative. The matter is to come out of the logic of being dictated from abroad.”- explained Manucharyan.
To the quest of the paper why the accusations that gained wide public reaction are put forward now when Oskanian is again engaged in politics and not 2 years ago, Manucharyan said: “We must understand that Armenia is under the control of external forces. Thus, if needed the prosecutor will speak, if not, he will keep silence. And what about the public reaction, there was zero response when a soldier was killed on the front. The urge of the freedom-fighter to undertake something on this occasion remained unanswered and gathered 3-4 “likes”.
Afterwards he wrote “I think that this Armenian singer more sexual than Madonna”. The next day there were 3000 comments. Armenian public has become stupid to such degree. There is no actual difference between the cases of Madonna and Oskanian.”- said Ashot Manucharyan.
To the observation that after all Madonna is not a political figure, Mr. Manucharyan replied: “Madonna is more political than Oskanian, as she brought votes for Obama by saying that she supports Muslim Obama.”
