President Serzh Sargsyan convened a meeting for discussion a number of issues: fiscal policy, further improving the business climate and the actual tax collection process.
The meeting was attended by the RA Prime Minister, Chairman of the Central Bank (CBA) Arthur Javadyan and many others.
The head of the country presented his position on the agenda of issues and made recommendations to the responsible people.
“Firstly, we must be very careful in defining the new rates, especially in increasing the rates. To be very clear for everybody, I warn that if there is any interference with tax authorities, and I will punish all the officials unsparingly. And secondly, we must rise to the responsibility of officials in the sphere. And in this case, we really need to make a change, a change of attitudes.” said the President.
The President also spoke of the importance to increase the Joint Committee on Finance and the Ministry of the SRC to protect taxpayers’ rights.
