We will caryy out Stepanakert-Yerevan flight and Azerbaijani behavior will in no way influence us, said the press secretary of NKR president Davit Babayan in the interview with “First Armenian News and Analysis” commenting on Azerbaijani deputy FM’s words that in present situation of the utilization of Stepanakert airport is impossible and that Azerbaijani party will never accept the usage of its air territory as Armenia violates international law.
“As Azerbaijan openly leads an axe policy, announces threats, I think that such threats should get a certain estimate from the international public. If Azerbaijan bombs the airplane, it will mean that it starts war actions, and this will be not the cause but motive. Azerbaijan may seek any motive to start war.”- said D. Babayan.
Babayan finds it logical that Azerbaijan has certain aims – to terrorize Artsakh, to terrorize people who will use the flights and also the staff. He stressed that if Azerbaijan wants war, this will be just a motive. But it must clearly perceive that this time his urges to international public to stop war to ask truce will be in vain, the war will last till the end. Either they will come to Stepanakert and Yerevan or we will reach Baku.
To the observation that Serzh Sargsyan had announced that he will be the first to take flight to Stepanakert, D. Babayan answered: “We will see then. I think that by such an announcement RA president warned Azerbaijan to refrain from destructive policy.”
