Georgia Online news agency reports that a Russian journalist, Vladimir Ivanidze, has written a statement concerning billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili, head of the oppositional “Georgian Dream” party.
According to him, Ivanishvilli has somehow financed the war against Georgia.
“In 2008, when there was a war between Russia and Georgia, “Russian credit” bank, which belonged and still belongs to Ivanishvilli had started to work with Russian companies which produced weapons for Russia. Through the mentioned bank all the contracts have been transferred. I can’t say for sure whether he has financed that war or not but I can surely say that he has financed those companies which produced weapons against Georgia.”
