Doctor of political science Levon Shirinyan offers to convene pan-Armenian summit of lobbying organizations. According to his viewpoint, as a result of the Syrian events the Kurdish issue will be in the centre of universal attention so that Armenia must seriously prepare to raise the issue of Western Armenia. And according to RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Arman Navasardyan, Syrian events tend to have similarities with Vietnam. “Aravot” provides some parts from the debate of the above mentioned politicians.
Levon Shirinyan – The results of Syrian process will enter into region through Kurdistan. In the sense of regional change Turkey is privileged having acquired an abandoned look in front of universal community. But I think Turkey is in panic. The Western Armenian issue is likely to come to the fore of the focus of universal politics. We must prepare for this. I am sure that along with Kurdish issue comes the Armenian one as well. From Artsakh prospective this fact gives us another direction. In the case of good job of Armenian elite, Iran and Russia come to be assured that the positions of Armenia, Artsakh and Javakhq need to be ensured as they cut the Turan world. And what about Nakhijevan vainly gifted to Azerbaijan? Those hypotheses may seem imaginary, but the universal politics came to prove impossible actions like the destruction of Soviet Union. I have an offer that we need a summit of pan-Armenian lobbying organizations, not a photo session but a serious consultation to mobilize and focus our resources.
Arman Navasardyan – If there are considerable changes in geopolitics, NKR issue is likely to bear changes as well. Here the main roles belong to Iran and Russia. West doesn’t even imagine how serious state Iran is. In this context Karabakh issue is put forward especially as there are talks that the US prepares options for the Azerbaijani part of Iran – like to put forwards Sothern Azerbaijan issue in case of war with Iran. Today Israel is ready to hit Iran to suspend the creation of thermonuclear weapons. I don’t know whether this is really true or not, but they also say that by the help of US, Azerbaijan will take Azerbaijani part of Iran and Karabakh issue will be solved in favor of Armenia. The aim is to cut the Armenian dependence from Russia.
L. Shirinyan – That is, the creation of Russian pole causes anomalies. Russia will have to increase pressure on Azerbaijan as it cannot afford the weakening of Iran. If Assad regime crashes, Sunni Turkey will become more powerful. And the Israeli blackmail is more of a campaign than real action threats.
A. Navasardyan – I remind that there exist two great contracts between Russia and Iran signed in 1921 and 1940. At any moment Iran can say Russia to fight against its enemies.
