Lionel Messi turned down a photo opportunity with Joan Laporta at the Ballon d’Or ceremony.
According to COPE, after the ceremony in Paris on October 30, Laporta wanted to have a photo with Messi and Barcelona’s Aitana Bonmati, who won the men’s and women’s Ballon d’Or, respectively. Still, the Argentine “absolutely refused” to take a photo with the president of “Barça.”
Earlier, Messi called the journalist’s inside story about the meeting with Laporta a lie after the ceremony.
