The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, while answering journalists’ questions within the framework of the meeting of the European Political Community to be held in Granada, spoke about the issues to be discussed at the summit, including Armenia.
“The topic of Armenia will have an essential place in our meeting today. I will meet the Prime Minister of Armenia today. We support Armenia’s solution to the country’s humanitarian needs, for which we have already allocated 5.2 million euros. I will inform Nikol Pashinyan that we will double it to 10.4 million euros. We will also provide direct budgetary assistance for 15 million euros.
We will discuss what else we can do to support Armenia in this challenging situation,” Von der Leyen said.
