Turkish Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu spoke about the Zangezur Corridor and the Turkish President’s visit to Nakhichevan.
“We discussed the situation with the President during his visit to Nakhichevan. The Zangezur corridor will provide a route from Turkey to Baku. This will be one of the important routes of the central corridor. Negotiations are ongoing. There is a direction from Nakhichevan to the Diluju border checkpoint, and the construction of a new 14 km line is on the agenda. The 43 km corridor of Zangezur passes through the border of Armenia. It is also being discussed with the Armenian side. It is also possible that Iran will implement the corridor. We are thinking about quickly implementing this program,” the minister said.
“The middle corridor is currently the shortest and safest way. The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars line continues, but it is shorter. We will connect Turkey and the Far East with a clear line,” added Abdulkadir Uraloglu.
