Yaroslav Yurchyshyn, the vice chairman of Ukraine’s parliamentary committee on anti-corruption policy, considered Washington’s letter to the Ukrainian authorities with a list of reforms, without which Washington will not provide military aid to Kyiv, a wrong step.
The US has indicated several reforms on which its future military aid will depend. They refer to the work of supervisory boards of state-owned enterprises in Ukraine, anti-corruption bodies, including NABU, the Supreme Council of Justice, and the entire judiciary. The White House letter also discusses the need for reforms in the Ministry of Defense and other law enforcement agencies, including the Security Service of Ukraine.
