On the way back from Azerbaijan to Turkey, Turkish President Recep Erdogan discussed Armenian-Azerbaijani and Armenian-Turkish relations with journalists, among other issues.
Regarding the Zangezur Corridor, the President of Turkey noted that the problem in this matter comes from somewhere other than Armenia but from Iran. “Two countries, Iran and Azerbaijan, the majority of whose population is Muslim. Tehran’s position upsets Baku and Ankara. The situation should also cause concern to Iran,” Erdogan said.
“With a positive approach to regional communications, it is possible to form a unified Turkey-Azerbaijan-Iran railway and road network; it will also be possible to open the Beijing-London route,” Erdogan did not exclude.
