During the “Armenian Forum for Democracy,” Kristina Kvien, the US Ambassador to Armenia, stated that she would like to praise the Armenian people for their unwavering commitment to the field of democracy despite security difficulties.
According to her, RA is becoming a bright spot in the region, “We noticed this in the report “States in Transition” published by Freedom House last week. The United States stands by your side on this path to a more open, accountable, prosperous, and safer future,” Ambassador Kvien said.
According to her, she is incredibly proud of the work that the United States is doing together with the Armenian society in the direction of strengthening democracy and protecting human rights in Armenia.
“We take steps to eliminate discrimination and promote a society where diversity and the rights of all community members are respected, regardless of their status or position.
The United States supports your efforts to fight corruption and strengthen the rule of law, which will increase public confidence in democratic processes.
We work together to promote freedom of the press and ensure the free flow of information and speech.
We also build more resilient foundations for democracy by promoting civic education and encouraging active engagement in Armenia’s strong civil society.
Together, we can overcome the challenges and create a future where freedom, justice, and democracy prevail,” said Ambassador Kvien.
