French President Emmanuel Macron believes that the meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Chisinau on June 1 will allow to continue the exchange of opinions on the situation in the South Caucasus and support the peace negotiations between Baku and Yerevan.
“I will be happy to meet you again on June 1 at the summit in Chisinau, which will allow us to continue exchanging views on the challenges facing the South Caucasus and our continent. Like in Prague, I hope this summit will also enable us to support the negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The visit of Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna to Baku on April 26-27 allowed me to see our shared desire to develop bilateral relations, and this makes me happy. It also made it possible to recall France’s commitment to establishing a just and stable peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which is essential for the stability and well-being of the entire region,” Macron wrote.
