The children of Khoznavar village of Syunik Province enjoyed the festive Yerevan thanks to the “New Year in the Spirit of Unity” campaign of the Armenian national airline Fly Arna, taking with them a fairy-tale mood, smiles and love. Bringing people together is the airline’s mission, Fly Arna’s spokesperson Gayane Antonyan told ARMENPRESS, summarizing the passing year, emphasizing that, as has been stated many times, the company’s goal is to connect Armenia to the world and the world to Armenia, creating more opportunities for people to unite.
“The campaign “New Year in the Spirit of Unity” was born from this idea, the goal of which is to unite not only people, but people with their own dreams and goals. Thus, our team went on to fulfill its mission, bringing Santa Claus to Yerevan on the Fly Arna plane, with whom we realized all our New Year’s surprises,” she said.
Gayane Antonyan, sharing her impressions with us, told with great enthusiasm that the New Year’s miracle of Fly Arna was completed by the two-day trip of the children of Khoznavar village of Syunik Province to the capital city of Yerevan, which was full of surprises and new experiences. “We had two full days. we also organized a visit to the City of Professions for the children, where they not only had a wonderful time, but also gained knowledge about various professions, which, we believe, can help the children to some extent in choosing a profession in the future. In addition, various children entertainment programs and purchase of presents for their younger sisters and brothers took place”, she added.
Antonyan emphasized that it was indescribably pleasant to see children’s shining eyes, warm smiles and the enthusiasm with which they chose their Christmas gifts. “Two days were enough for us to get emotionally linked and miss each other. We hope to meet them again, already on our plane. Bringing smiles to people through surprises is one of the main goals of the company. this is one of the many New Year’s surprises that the airline managed to do this year,” concluded Antonyan.
Summing up the passing year, Gayane Antonyan emphasized that 2022 was an important year for Armenian aviation, as the new Armenian national air carrier was founded, which everyone had been looking forward to for many years. Armenian national air carrier Fly Arna made 734 flights and landings during the six months of its operation and was recognized by the Civil Aviation Committee as an exemplary airline.
The airline started its operations in June with flights in 2 directions, and during the first six months expanded the geography of flights, carrying out flights to five destinations: Moscow, Sochi, Tbilisi, Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada. The airline plans to launch flights to three new Russian destinations.
“Along with the launch of new destinations in 2023, we plan to increase our aircraft fleet and the number of employees. Summarizing the most important achievements of our company in 2022, I would like to mention that we managed to create a team of the best aviation professionals and were recognized by the Civil Aviation Committee as an exemplary airline in terms of reporting, building communication, managing safety processes. This is a pleasant achievement for the team, which has been operating in Armenia for only six months,” she said.
According to Fly Arna’s spokesperson, in 2022, their team has done a good job of laying a solid foundation for Fly Arna.
Speaking about the goals of the airline, Gayane Antonyan mentioned that one of them is the improvement of the aviation sector in Armenia. The company offers young people the opportunity to train and become flight attendants. “In the UAE, we have excellent world-class training facilities where our pilots and other aircrew are trained. This is another advantage for our airline and an opportunity for the enthusiasts of this sector to acquire a new profession and work in a dream profession.
We are glad that Armenian pilots who had lived and worked in different countries of the world have joined our team, getting the opportunity to return to their homeland and work here. We have Armenian pilots who have returned from Vietnam, the Middle East and Russia. We are happy to see the return of talents to Armenia,” said Antonyan.
