Yesterday, in August 15, the head of Vanadzor municipality media Khoren Gasparyan posted on his own page on Facebook some of the photos of the incumbent mayor Samvel Darbinyan. The photos were taken during the past years, where he, according to the captions, was revering and awarding honorary citizens of Gyumri.
It should be noted that the campaign will be launched in August 22. We were interested about how the “praised” work of the politician will effect on the pre-election propaganda and why the photos were placed just now. We tried to find out this from the head of information department Khoren Gasparyan. To the question of the “First News and Analyses” reporter, Mr. Gasparyan answered, “Sometimes I do, but they are not just for propaganda, they are reminiscent of the past days. I just thought the photos are good so decided to post them.”
We should also mention that tomorrow, in August 17, Mayor Samvel Darbinyan’s press conference is to be held, which will be connected with local elections, scheduled in Fall, but it was postponed for an unknown term.
