According to official sources, if the information about PAP Chairman Gagik Tsarukyan’s not running receives official confirmation, the leader of “Republic” party Aram Sargsyan may nominate his candidacy in the presidential elections.
“The council members of the party are in favor of such an approach, but the final decision will be made on December 21, during the conference of the party,” informs the source of the party.
Members of the “Republic” party believe that in case Tsarukyan does not run, the society will look for another force capable of changing the existing government and Aram Sargsyan may take on that role.
