The State Committee on Statistics said on Tuesday that the number of employees in Azerbaijan amounted to 1.388.200 persons in June, 852.300 people of whom have been working in the public sector, 535,900 people – in non-state.
According to State Statistics Committee, the average salary of employees in Azerbaijan amounted to 397 manat (1 AZN =1.28 USD) in June, this figure increased by 8.3 percent in January – June compared to the same period last year and amounted to 384.5 manat.
