As the president’s office informs the president of the Lebanon has delivered an official dinner in honor of Serzh and Rita Sargsyans. Serzh Sargsyan in his toast addressed to the president of the Lebanon, his wife, the NA president, the PM and the other members of the official dinner has expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome in a land that has always been very dear to Armenians. Sargsyan spoke about the old and friendly ties the two nations have been linked with, their past, present and future and the political high level discussions the two countries have had so far. The president of the RA expressed his readiness to deepen the bilateral relations and wished peace to Lebanon.
Serzh Sargsyan spoke about the history that connected the two nations and the Armenians’ input in the formalization of the Lebanese statehood. He said Lebanon was the country to stand by the Armenians in the harshest times of history when the Armenian Genocide survivors found home in there. Sargsyan concluded his speech by stating today’s the Armenian diaspora in Lebanon is a vivid example how well integrated the Armenians are in Lebanon.
