The Special Investigation Service of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) made a decision to stop the criminal prosecution of young activists Areg Gevorgyan, Vahagn Gevorgyan, Sahak Muradyan, on a basis that “the fulfillment of their participation in the crime is not proven.” The “Pastinfo” agency was informed about this from the Special Investigation Service of RA.
We should note that on August 9, 2011, because of the incident between police and young people on Seryan street, ANC 7 young activists were brought to the department of police, police started an investigation. The cases of 4 young people from 7- Tigran Arakelyan, Artak Karapetyan, Sarkis Gevorgyan and David Kiramijyan- were sent to the Central and Nork-Marash Court of First Instance. Gagik Poghosyan was the judge and by July 20 verdict they were sentenced to 2-6 years of imprisonment.
The cases of Areg Gevorgyan, Sahak Muradyan and Vahagn Gevorgyan were separated from the work, the investigation of which continued the Special Investigation Service.
