Azerbaijani sources report that today President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a U.S. delegation led by Philip Verveer, Department of State`s coordinator for International Communications & Information Policy.
“Relationship between Azerbaijan and the United States are developing successfully in various spheres.” said the head of the country.
President Ilham Aliyev also noted that Azerbaijan has great experience in hosting international events and Baku`s hosting the 7th Internet Governance Forum, to be co-organized by the United Nations and the Azerbaijani government, proves favorable conditions created for rapid development of information and communication technologies in the country.
He also noted that the ICT sector is one of the priorities in Azerbaijan.
Philip Verveer expressed gratification for the organization of the 7th Internet Governance Forum and highlighted the importance of Baku`s hosting this Forum.
