Azerbaijani media reports that Azerbaijani Ambassador to Italy, Vagif Sadikhov, had a press conference and announced that Azerbaijan and Italy plan by the end of this year a number of joint activities in the areas of economy and culture.
Sadikhov said that Baku is expected to host a joint meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation and a business forum, the agenda of which is currently being defined by AZPROMO and Roman Chamber of Commerce.
As reported, on 15 November, Rome will host a grand concert of Azerbaijani classical and folk music, one of organizers of which is Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the concert will be held in one of the major concert halls of Rome, in Auditorium, which will be attended by first Lady of Azerbaijan ,Mehriban Aliyeva. She will also participate in the opening of exhibition of the works of Azerbaijani artists at the Vatican Museum.
According to Sadikhov, in the beginning of November, Defense Minister of Azerbaijan, Safar Abiyev, is expected to visit Italy, during which agreements will be signed between the defense ministries of the two countries. This is a return visit after the visit of the head of the Italian General Staff to Azerbaijan.
